ACRT is an independent vegetation management consulting firm that works on behalf of your utility provider — the company that delivers your electric service — to assess and manage trees, shrubs, and other vegetation growing near power lines and utility rights-of-way.
Overgrown or damaged trees near power lines are one of the leading causes of outages, especially during storms. By identifying and addressing these hazards proactively, our crews help keep your power reliable, reduce the risk of outages, and protect your home and community from the dangers that vegetation near electrical infrastructure can create. This work is planned and authorized by your utility; we’re an extension of their maintenance and safety program.
What Our Crews Are Doing on Your Street
Depending on the work authorized by your utility provider, you may see ACRT crews doing one or more of the following in your neighborhood:
Assessing vegetation near power lines — Our foresters and arborists walk utility lines to identify trees and shrubs that pose a risk to electrical infrastructure. They document what they find and submit recommendations to your utility for follow-up action.
Directing tree trimming and removal — Our crews plan and oversee the work performed by tree care contractors to ensure vegetation is cleared to the correct specifications, safely, and in compliance with your utility’s standards.
Auditing completed work — We verify that tree trimming and removal work meets your utility’s quality and safety standards.
Responding to storm damage — Following major weather events, ACRT crews may be deployed to assess damage, direct emergency tree removal, and help restore service as quickly as possible.

How to Identify ACRT Employees
Every ACRT employee wears company-approved uniforms and carries a photo ID badge with their credentials. Our vehicles are clearly marked with the ACRT name and logo. If you have any questions about whether someone near your property is an ACRT employee, you’re welcome to ask to see their identification — our teams expect this and are happy to provide verification.
